The purpose of the GDR: to develop a technology for the manufacture of substrates for growing rare berry crops. Research methods: dialectical, experimental analysis, analytical-statistical, vegetative, laboratory, mathematical-statistical method. A comprehensive assessment of the suitability of local raw materials for the manufacture of soil substrates, as a result of which it was found that the most promising species, which are characterized by significant deposits in the Volyn region are peat and sapropel. In addition, a significant amount of organic waste is accumulated on the territory every year, which is a valuable component for enriching the main raw materials with a complex of nutrients and contributes to the improvement of water and air properties. Regularities of influence of soil substrates on growth and development and features of absorption of nutrients by berry cultures are established. A system for assessing the suitability of local raw materials for the production of soil substrates is proposed, which is based on taking into account the agrobiological characteristics of tall blueberries and honeysuckle. Based on the results of the research, the technology of substrate production for growing berry crops and the project of technical conditions for soil substrates were developed, recommendations on technological aspects of their production and application for growing berry crops and the act of approbation of research results were presented.
