The subject of the research is the professional profile of the police activity of the Police Department of the National Police of Ukraine by specializations: protection of individuals, protection of objects and public safety, protection of cargo and mobile objects, features of professional activity and professionally important qualities of policemen. Research methods are selected based on certain goals and objectives, taking into account its object and subject. To solve the tasks, a set of complementary methods was used: theoretical - to clarify the theoretical aspects of police policing in certain specializations, empirical - to study the features of service activities and statistical - to study the results of experimental research, to establish quantitative relationships between subjects. indicators and providing analysis and verification of empirical data. Results obtained: professional profiles and profiles of police professions of the Department of Security Police by specializations (protection of individuals, protection of objects and public safety, protection of goods and mobile objects) were prepared.
