Sokolovsky» popup.description2 Based on the results of research: created and registered a working collection of peas for suitability for mechanized harvesting for the steppe zone of Ukraine (request no. to NTSGRU - 000389, priority - 2017.10.18), a training collection of peas for the steppe zone of Ukraine (request no. to NTSGRU - 000406, priority – 2018.10.23), a working collection of chickpeas for resistance to diseases and pests for the steppe zone of Ukraine (request no. to NTSGRU – 00434, priority – 2019.11.23) and a training collection of chickpeas for the steppe zone of Ukraine; 37 varieties of peas and 36 varieties of chickpeas were introduced from different countries; sources of valuable economic characteristics of peas and chickpeas were identified; the number of samples from the laboratory's collection was increased to 2015 units. including 1153 samples of peas from 43 countries of the world and 862 samples of chickpeas from 45 countries of the world; 14 passports of peas and chickpeas were submitted for registration in the central laboratory of the NTSGRU according to criteria; 73 new varieties of peas and chickpeas were transferred to the National Storage of the NTSGRU for long-term storage; 1-2 samples from the collection were attracted annually to create new varieties by breeders. Working collections of peas and chickpeas differ from their analogues in the following characteristics: precocity, seed size, high yield, resistance to diseases and pests, suitability for mechanized harvesting, etc. training collections of peas and chickpeas include botanical diversity, sets of registered varieties, hybrids and their parent forms, sources of valuable traits, etc. The economic effect is expected due to the creation of new highly productive varieties of peas and chickpeas of high consumer quality and the acceleration of the breeding process for 2-3 years.
