The purpose of the first stage of the research project was to study the biological activity of composites based on silver nanoparticles. The aim of the first stage of the work was to establish the medical and biological characteristics and, first of all, the antibacterial properties of the synthesized condensates with silver nanoparticles together with well-known medical institutions of Ukraine. Methods for studying the chemical composition using X-ray fluorescence analysis, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) with local analysis and atomic emission spectrometry with inductively coupled plasma (AES-ISP). The antimicrobial activity of the drugs was studied on test strains of E. coli (Escherichia coli) and S. aureus (Staphylococcus aureus). List of equipment: X-UU X-ray fluorescence spectrometer from Philips (Holland), CAM CamScan 4D (UK) with INCA-200 Energy attachment, Optima 2100 DV from Perkin Elmer (USA). Results and their novelty. Together with the state institution "LV Gromashevsky Institute of Epidemiology and Infectious Diseases of the Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine" a study of the biological activity of streptomycin + nanosilver and silver + copper composites was conducted. The lowest inhibitory concentration of drugs was determined against test strains of E. coli ATCC 25922 and S. aureus ATCC 6538 (ATCC - American Type Culture Collection). Drugs streptomycin + nanosilver and silver + copper have a pronounced antimicrobial, bactericidal effect on the studied test strains.
