The objective of the work is conservation and enrichment of phyto-gene pool of the Dendrological Park "Askania-Nova"; studies of adaptive capabilities of the alien plants, selection of the world flora’s plants stable to local conditions, having prospects for diversity and optimization of park culturphytocenosis and plantations of different functional purpose; studying of growth methods and breeding of the alien plants, and modern ways of their using in the gardening building and landscape design; development of ecological and biological grounds of conservation and renovation of all-aged park stands. Research methods are generally used in dendrology, park science, plant physiology, and use of satellite navigation facilities. The data about development rhythm, seed productivity, reproduction ability, ecological resistance of the alien plant species, limiting factors of environment and their influence on plants’ viability are given. The present state and changes of specific composition and a planting structure of the collection plots of wood plants are described, and projects and assortments for their reconstruction are presented. The information is generalized on biological features of the pine family from the genera: fir, larch, spruce and pseudotsuga. The ecological and biological introduction aspects are analyzed and forecasts for conservation of rarity plants of the world flora are given. The assortments of gymnospermous and flowering ornamental plants are compiled for using in the south steppe region.
