The activation of the samples to increase the surface availability of gaseous methane was performed by pre-keeping them in a medium of liquid methane at T = 176 K. The type of temperature dependence of methane adsorption depends on the hydration of the surface. For highly hydrated samples (h = 1 g / g) the adsorption increases with increasing temperature, which indicates the implementation of the mechanism of physical adsorption. At lower values of hydration, the inverse pattern is observed, which is explained by the possibility of formation of solid hydrates in the interparticle gaps, the signals of which are not recorded in the NMR spectra of high resolution.
