Research methods: In the theoretical part of the work methods of analysis, system approach, induction are involved. In the practical part of the work the following methods are involved: the method of observation, the method of experiment. And also methods of modeling and a method of content analysis were used. Result: Improvement of methods of unilateral determination of the place of damage of power lines in networks with effectively grounded neutral on the basis of UAV is carried out. Principles of automation of determination of the place of damage of the power line by means of the UAV are developed. Experimental studies of methods for determining the location of damage under operating conditions. The principles of acoustic diagnostics of the presence of corona discharge as a source of deterioration of quality parameters of power supply have been developed. Calculations of economic efficiency from the use of UAVs at energy facilities have been performed Based on the results of the research, recommendations have been developed for the use of digital energy elements in the electricity sector of Ukraine, which will significantly improve the quality of electricity, including safety and reliability, and at the same time achieve improved economic performance.
