Cryoprotective compounds that are promising for the development of protocols for cryopreservation of A. longa have been determined. It has been shown that in a cold-resistant soybean variety, the most intensive metabolic changes occur during the first hours of cold stress, and in a non-cold-resistant variety do during a much longer time. In vitro hardening of potato seedlings contributes to an increase in the preservation rates of warmed apexes. A method for saturation of grape buds by the vacuum infiltration has been proposed and tested, that makes it possible to reduce the influence of the toxic effect of solutions and incubation time of grape buds, as well as to increase their preservation rate.
