Collection and experimental plantings of ornamental woody and ornamental-aromatic plants of SE "DG" Novokakhovske "Institute of Rice NAAS" were evaluated on bioecological, morphological and economically valuable features (increased winter hardiness, drought resistance, decorativeness, etc.). Work continued on the hybridization of yucca (Yucca), in order to obtain resistant to adverse conditions in the region, highly decorative trunk forms, and to study the transmission of inherited traits. Crossings were performed, previously obtained, including from the Nikitsky Botanical Garden (NBS-NSC, Yalta) and own hybrids received earlier, in various combinations. The study of Yucca hybrid seedlings obtained in previous years was continued. 6 samples of aromatic plants and 6 samples of ornamental plants were introduced. Certified 2 samples of ornamental plants - Indian Lagerstremia 'Lilac', medicinal laurel 'Emerald'. Methodical recommendations "Evergreen woody plants of the dendrological collection of the Institute of Rice of NAAS (" DP DG Novokakhovske ") suitable for use in landscaping of the Southern steppe of Ukraine" are developed. A range of ornamental plants for landscaping of settlements of the Southern Steppe of Ukraine has been developed and published. Applications were submitted for 2 varieties of Lavender narrow-leaved Syneva Nadiya application №19052001 and Lydia application №19052002; for persimmon varieties Nikitska Lyschuk and Jubilee Kosenko. Received 3 certificates of registration of the sample in the NCGRRU for the variety Monarda Premiere and Fortuna and the variety Lavender Lydia. Received 3 copyright certificates for plant varieties: AS №190951 for lavender variety Hoarfrost, AS №190303 for Monarda tubular variety Fortuna, AS №190828 for persimmon variety Dar Sofiyivka.
