The increase of the production of energy from alternative sources over the past years that was demonstrated, has delineate the problem of the critical discrepancy between the legislative provision of these relations to their current state and the needs for further development. On the basis of certain characteristics and revealed tendency of domestic scientific doctrine and legislation in the field of alternative energy, it was concluded that there is an acute lack of comprehensive doctrinal developments, which should form the basis of high-quality legal support adequate to the modern and future needs of the industry development. The results have already been introduced in the practical activities of an environmental public organization, and can also be useful for research, rulemaking, law enforcement, and learning activities. The scientific findings form a holistic study, but at the same time they are a necessary starting point for the implementation of the following stages of the project "Alternative energy in Ukraine: ways of systemic legislative incentives".
