The priority of the first stage of the topic was the compilation of the sixth (last) volume of the scientific and bibliographic edition "Ukrainian book in Galicia, Bukovina, Transcarpathia, Volhynia and in exile, 1914-1939", which registers book editions of 1936-1939. 378 separate editions and 312 collections in the volume of 32205 pages in which the contents are analytically described are processed. For the first time in the bibliography, online catalogs of scientific libraries of the world, the world bibliographic database WorldCat were used to ensure the maximum information completeness of the bibliography, which is the only one in Ukraine to register a Ukrainian book of this region and period. Preparation of a collection of historical and bibliographical works "Rehabilitated by history: Western Ukrainian and Ukrainian emigration book of the interwar period" has begun. The register of works (more than 70 titles) is created, the main sections are defined. Two chapters of the monograph "Mykhailo Rudnytsky in the context of the interwar period" (S. Kohut) were written. The role of the Ukrainian emigration book in Canada in the social process of the 30's - 80's of the XX century was studied. A study "Activities of the Union of Ukrainian Women of Canada in the 1920s and 1930s through the prism of publications of the then calendars and almanacs" has been prepared for publication.
