The subject of research - historical and cultural features of works of fine and musical art, photo and cartographic documents of the Library. The purpose of the work is to study the Library’s art collections, historical and cultural features of visual and musical materials, photo and cartographic documents in the context of national heritage of many centuries, the creation of registers of monuments and documents, scientific processing of conservation units; scientific elaboration of Library’s art collections, introduction into scientific circulation of works and documents through systematization, analysis and their interpretation in the context of national culture, publication of monographs, catalogs, publication of articles, exhibitions that reflect the identity of the national heritage. Research methods - historical and cultural method, as well as methods of systematic, chronological, iconographic and stylistic analysis. The results included study of Library’s collections, works and documents through the use of modern information technologies, scientific publications, exhibitions. 6028 units were processed in the field of fine arts. The catalogs "Ukrainian poster of 1847-2005 in collections of Research Institute for Library’s Art Resources” and “Faleristic collection of Vasyl Stefanyk National Scientific Library of Ukraine in Lviv”. In the area of musical art, 6893 units have been processed, 569 musical works in the ALEPH-500 system have been introduced into circulation. The bibliographical index “Volodymyr Goshovsky's Book Collection” has been prepared for printing. 8748 units have been processed in collection of photographic documents. 422 descriptions of maps of the XVI-XX centuries were made in the collections of cartographic documents.
