The purpose of the study: reconstruction of the information and communication process of the interwar years, studying the formation of the Ukrainian media map, compiling a bibliography and biobibliography of the Ukrainian press, recording and processing metadata about journalistic systems and environments. Research methods: retrospective, content analysis method, historical-bibliographic and biographical, structural-functional, analytical, systemic, diachronic methods. The results of the research: a register of periodicals of 1926–1927 was compiled. The main part of the seventh volume "Bibliography of the Ukrainian press" (1919) of the historical-bibliographic research "Ukrainian press in Ukraine and the world of the XIX-XX centuries" is concluded, 25 scientific articles are published in professional editions and scientific collections. 10 reports were made at scientific conferences (Lviv, Kyiv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Krakow (Republic of Poland)), a conference "Press Studies as a component of socio-communication research" was held (Lviv, December 24, 2020). Published "Collection of works of the Research Institute of Press Studies" (2020. Issue 10 (28), 444 p.); collective monograph "Ukrainian journalism: History and modernity" (LAP Lambert Academic Publishing, 2020. 248 p.); "Journal" Dilo "(Lviv, 1880-1939): materials on biobibliography" (Drohobych: Kolo, 2020. Vol. 6: 1910-1914, 696 p.); the sixth volume of the study "Ukrainian press in Ukraine and the world of the XIX-XX centuries." (776 s.)
