The general purpose of the project is the development of technologies and creation of microprocessor optoelectronic technical equipment designed for the processes implementation of the automated remote control of wear and suspension parameters of electrified railways catenary. The catenary is one of the most complex technical structures of electrified railways. To ensure the safety and uninterrupted movement of trains all elements of the catenary need constant monitoring for compliance with established technical standards and requirements for the timely implementation of repair and restoration work. A prototype of a portable diagnostic complex designed for automated remote control of the catenary suspension parameters is created. The complex consists of a stereoscopic measuring unit and a remote control, which interact with each other via a Bluetooth wireless communication channel. A subsystem of non-contact automated control of catenary wires wear parameters for laboratory cars has been developed, based on the use of specialized high-speed matrix video cameras capable of recording and pre-processing digital images with a resolution of 1920 × 80 pixels at a frame rate of 1 kHz. Hardware and software of a high-speed subsystem designed for non-contact stereoscopic control of the parameters of the catenary wires suspension for laboratory cars have been developed. The sensor unit of the subsystem includes microprocessor linear video cameras with an operating frequency of 4.6 kHz, providing a scanning step of 200 mm at a speed of 160 km/h. Successful tests of the created means of catenary parameters control in real operation conditions are carried out. Positive results of interdepartmental acceptance tests of the portable diagnostic complex together with the Department of Electrification and Power Supply of "Ukrainian Railways" were obtained.
