CREATIVE PERSONALITIES IN THE ART, DESIGN AND ARCHITECTURE OF WESTERN UKRAINE. The object of study is individuals who have made significant contributions to the development of architecture and art. The purpose of the work is to popularize and discover new and restore forgotten names of outstanding creative personalities who made significant contributions to the development of art, design and architecture of the Western region of Ukraine in the 19th-21st centuries. Research methods are the method of primary sources, historical method, factor analysis, statistical and comparative analysis, interviews with experts in the field of architecture and art. The research summarizes the results of previous studies of prominent creative personalities in art, design and architecture of the Western region of Ukraine in the 19th-21st centuries; develops a method of studying the contribution of personality to the development of art, design and architecture; discovers new and restores forgotten names of prominent personalities in fields of art, design and architecture; establishes the connection between art, design and architectural education and practical activities at all stages of the creative path of an individual. In the process of working on the development of research topics, the team of authors developed and published five albums and catalogs and one monograph during the period from 2018 to 2020. The scientists who performed the theme for 2018-2020 organized four solo exhibitions and participated in 43 exhibitions at the regional and national levels and two conferences. Under the guidance of the authors of the research, graduate students developed seven bachelor's theses and one master's thesis on the topic of research work.
