The filter calculations were performed using the FILTER-7 software package. The following filter composition was obtained: 10B - 0.28 g / cm2; 11B - 0.05 g / cm2; 58Ni - 147.6 g / cm2; 60Ni - 256.1 g / cm2; Al - g / cm2; V - 3.97 g / cm2. Characteristics of this filter variant: average energy - 107.2 keV; half-width - 0.4 keV; relative purity - 73.2%; the expected neutron flux density is 7.4e5 n/cm2 s. Based on the latest version of the library of estimated nuclear data ENDF / B-VIII.0, a new interference neutron filter with an average energy of 1.64 keV was modeled. The main components of the filter: scandium, nickel 60, iron 54 and selenium 80. Expected characteristics of the filter: average energy - 1.64 keV, width of the neutron line at half height - 0.7 keV, purity of the main line - 97%, neutron flux density - 1,0e6 n/cm2 s. Experimental verification of the parameters of the new filters is planned during the next campaign of the VVR-M reactor. The installation for measuring total neutron cross sections by the transmission method has been improved. During the short-term operation of the reactor (about 4 hours), this improvement was tested, but the analysis of the obtained results showed a significant difference in the transmission values according to the data of the two counters. The cause of this discrepancy has not yet been determined, and the analysis of the results and the search for the source of the discrepancy continues. The universal installation for measuring the spectra of gamma rays of neutron radiation capture was modernized, the measuring characteristics of the AMA 03F analyzer were checked: integral (INL) and differential (DNL) nonlinearity.
