Peculiarities of surfacing layers formation, their composition, structure and chemical inhomogeneity with the use of modern surfacing materials (TeroCot 7888T, Diamax M, LZ-11-7) have been studied. The strength characteristics of the surfacing layers were studied: transition layer + base material, alloy VK10 + surfacing layer, steels 30X and 45 + surfacing layer. The parameters of hydroabrasive wear resistance of the deposited layer of the protective coating against friction are determined. Developed technological recommendations and created a repair base in the Institute on the restoration of worn working bodies of drilling tool bodies with protective coatings of defective sections of drill bits and drill heads. The technology was developed by the Institute of Electric Welding Paton of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine for repair of drilling tools and restoration of working bodies of drill bits and heads for oil and natural gas production were implemented in LLC "Burintechservice" Poltava and LLC "Region" Kyiv.
