The parameters of animals of the selection nucleus are determined and recommendations for the selection of animals of the desired type for the formation of a group of mother cows of future generations of repair bulls of dairy breeds are developed. The concept, methods of selection of breeds, definition of types and schemes of application of crossbreeding in dairy cattle breeding for improvement of functional signs of animals are developed. Methodical recommendations for forecasting changes in the breeding value of dairy breeders have been developed. The implementation of the development will increase the accuracy of estimating the breeding value of animals during their long-term use by 20-30%. A theoretical model of the genetic structure of genotypes has been developed, which characterizes genetic selection and biological processes in the breed. Based on the theoretical analysis of the probability of genetic variability of animal genotypes by additive genetic potential of chromosome activity and practical manifestation of heredity in generations, the main features of the population that characterize the selection situation in dairy and dairy breeds at a certain stage of their genesis. The state approbation of the new factory protein-fat-milk line of the Leader in the Ukrainian red-spotted dairy breed was carried out. The share of first-born cows (daughters) with high fat content (4.1-5.2%) and protein (3.2-3.56%) in milk was 36-43%.
