Objects of the study - biodiversity, insects, orthoptera, homoptera, beetles, diptera, moths, butterflies, scientific collections of SIZK, type materials, amber arthropods.The purpose of the work is to continue the inventory of the entomofauna of Ukraine with the involvement of new approaches to the creation and management of data sets and taking into account the comprehensive study of the systematics, zoogeography and ecology of small-scale groups of insects (diptera, butterflies and moths, beetles, aphids, orthoptera etc), creation and improvement of interface for online biodiversity databases of Ukraine and insect checklist of Ukraine, storage of zoological collections, creation of catalogs of typical collections, research of member inclusions tonohyh Eurasian brands.Research methods: general zoological, online registration of geospatial data on insect diversity, comparative-morphological analysis, analysis of nucleotide sequences by PCR, computer phylogenetic analysis; sound communication was studied by recording audiograms of orthoptera in Audacity; analysis of literary data on morphology, mining of literary data on distribution, field and laboratory methods of accounting and research.Insects are the least studied group of animals in the world, and even the diagnosis of practically important taxa encounters incompleteness or lack of determinants and checklists. The key to solving this problem is the fauna inventory, which is based on the fundamental achievements of taxonomy, phylogenetics, morphology and ecology. Scientific stock collections form the basis of monitoring and systematic research, constituting Ukraine's national heritage.
