Current-voltage characteristics have been obtained for different magnitudes of an external magnetic field generated by a solenoid which is installed on the MPC accelerating channel. It has been shown that without an external magnetic field, the longitudinal component of the drift velocity near the accelerating channel is two and a half times as large as with it.
