 Data collection and socio-economic analysis of the main development trends of the Eastern region (Sumy, Kharkiv, Donetsk and Luhansk regions) were conducted; analysis and elaboration of strategic documents for regional development; research of the external environment of the region, etc. An analysis of the demographic situation, natural potential (land, forest, water, agro-climatic resources), economic complex (land structure, agriculture, animal husbandry), the scientific sector of the region. Synthesized information in the form of text, tabular and graphic materials, in the publication "Eastern region: agrarian lobby", which assesses the actual state of development of the region as a whole and each of the 4 areas; "Catalog of innovative proposals" was published; the regional catalog of subjects of breeding business in branches of cattle breeding, pig breeding, horse breeding (50 subjects) is made An analysis of the state of the livestock industry on a macroeconomic scale, the volume of the regional market for livestock products. The segmentation of consumers of the territorial market of science-intensive products is performed. Based on the results of the work performed, a database of potential consumers of science-intensive products in the areas of activity of 200 agricultural enterprises in the region was formed through the prism of their belonging to the relevant market segment. The main directions of development are formulated through the systematization of the available information about the strengths and weaknesses, as well as about external opportunities and threats, the factors of effective functioning of the territory are determined. Assessing the level of marketing attractiveness of the Eastern region and each of its regions, a package of scientific developments with innovative potential to ensure high quality feed and livestock products and their further scientific and consulting support in the Eastern region was identified.
