The metallogeny of uranium, thorium, accompanying elements in geological formations and structures of the Precambrian and Phanerozoic of Ukraine has been studied. The geological structure of uranium and thorium ore regions, deposits, ore occurrences has been studied. A complex of isotope-geochemical studies of uranium and thorium deposits of the Ukrainian Shield (USH) was carried out. The genetic model of the formation of uranium-bearing sodium metasomatites (albitites) has been substantiated. The search criteria for uranium and thorium deposits have been developed and improved. The results of complex studies of the radiation parameters of the environment at the uranium and thorium deposits of the UShch are carried out and presented. Modern modifications of radiometric, emanation and subsurface geochemical removal for the search for uranium and thorium deposits have been proposed. An assessment of the prospects for expanding the mineral resource base of uranium and thorium and related elements in Ukraine is given. The practical significance of the research results: promoting the development of the mineral resource base of nuclear energy in Ukraine, increasing the economic efficiency of geological exploration for radioactive raw materials in Ukraine and the purposefulness of prospecting and exploration of uranium and thorium deposits, reducing prospecting risks at subsequent stages of work. The work is of scientific and theoretical importance for improving the theory of ore formation and practical importance for the search for uranium, thorium and related elements in the geological structures of Ukraine.
