P. Semenenko Institute of geochemistry, mineralogy and ore formation popup.description2 New results on mineralogic-petrographical, isotope-geochemical research of lithium pegmatites of Stankuvatoe and Polokhovka ore fields of western part of Ingul megablock of the Ukrainian Shield are presented. Mineralogical composition of lithium mineralization presented with spodumene and petalite have been considered. Mineralogical and geochemical types of associated mineralization of niobium, tantalum, stanum, zinc, and berillium have been thoroughly explored. It is defined that main practical importance have secondary overlapping mineralization with spodumene and petalite mainly. The petalite ore type, within Polokhovka deposit, and mixed petalite and spodumene type in Stankuvatoe ore field have a key role. Lithium ores have clear geochemical trend on phosphorus, berillium and stanum that determines a set of accessories, main of them are thriphylite, montebrasite, chrysoberyl and nigerite. Thus, lithium pegmatites of Stankuvatoe and Polokhovka ore fields are complex minable objects on lithium, niobium, tantalum and stanum. The lithium mineralization is defined to overlap on microcline-albite pegmatites formed 2026-2032 Ma. For the first time the age of formation of associated mineralization is defined by uranium/lead dating of tantalum and niobium minerals as 1965 Ma, and on monazite from apatite-cordierite metasomatites, as 1957-1961 Ma Product Description popup.authors Bondarenko Serhii M.
