Aim of the research stage: to study efficiency of implementation of technologies of health-improving and recreational physical activity of different population groups. Research object: health and recreational physical activity. Subject of research: theoretical and methodological foundations of health-improving and recreational physical activity of various groups of the population. Methods of research: analysis and systematization of scientific and methodical literature, documentary materials; comparative method; abstraction, logical-theoretical analysis and system approach; analysis and synthesis, observation, expert assessment, sociological (survey, questionnaires), pedagogical, anthropometric, physiological, psychodiagnostic methods, methods of physical activity evaluation, methods of mathematical statistics. Research results: The theoretical and methodological principles of health and recreational physical activity of different groups of the population are stated; the approaches to the formation of the conceptual apparatus of health-improving and recreational physical activity are determined; the paradigm of healthy physical activity is theoretically substantiated and its practical application is given.
