Purpose of the work - Based on the observations of dynamic changes throughout the century to evaluate the physical development of preschool children in Kyiv and to develop the standardised indicators. Research methods - hygienic, physiological, anthropometric, statistical. It is established that the average values of the main signs of physical development (length and body weight, chest circumference) of children 3 - 6 years naturally increase depending on the age of children; the main indicators of physical development of boys exceed similar indicators of girls. The same changes in the growth and physical development of children in the dynamics: modern children 3-6 years of age compared to their peers in 1912, 1962 and 2000 have a narrower chest, prone to asthenic body structure, asthenia processes among girls more pronounced than in boys (p ? 0.05). Negative trends in changes in growth and development over the century have been identified - an increase in body weight and length against the background of stabilization and a decrease in the circumference of the chest. The processes of asthenia of physical development of urban children of preschool are accompanied by an increase in total body size (length and weight) without corresponding changes in the transverse size of the body (chest circumference). For the first time, mathematical forecasting has been carried out of changes in anthropometric indicators of physical development of children with the calculation of expected values of length, body weight and chest circumference of children by 2030.
