The aim of the work was to investigate the effect of current pass through the interface, additives to SnO₂ ceramics, thickness of SnO₂ films on different substrates on the wetting of oxide materials by metals, to study the contact of In₂O₃ with metal melts. The interrelation between current pass through the interface and wetting in the conditions of contact of metal melts (Cu, Ni, Sn, Al, Ge, Cu-Ga, Cu-Ga-Ti) with some oxide materials (ZrO₂, TiO₂, HfO₂, SnO₂, BaTiO₃) has been studied, the features of wetting for different materials, the influence of the connection polarity were observed. An explanation of the revealed effects is proposed, which is confirmed by microstructural studies. The method of vacuum metallization of SnO₂-ceramics using a copper-nickel alloy was developed and used especially for experiments with electric current pass. The influence of additions to the composition of ceramic tin dioxide on its wetting by melts of the silver-copper-oxygen system in air and in the flow of pure oxygen has been studied. The wetting with silver-copper-oxygen system melts of SnO₂ films deposited on different substrates was investigated.
