The purpose of work – evaluation of protective polymeric coating in sub-roofing space of Shelter Object as of 2020 and the forecast of its state for the next year. Research and forecast methods – mathematic statistical analysis of results of monitored activity of radioactive releases from the Shelter Object, strippable radioactive contamination level, radioactive aerosol fallouts at specified reference points, radioactive aerosol concentrations in basic volume of NSC–SO complex and evaluation of protective features along the square of destroyed coating in conformity with GOST 9.407-84, and determination of coating thickness at taken samples-evidences in the lab. The results of scientific research will be used in making decisions regarding the terms of realization of irrigation by protective coating of inter-buttress and “breakup” surfaces in the sub-roofing space of Shelter Object in case of detection of degradation processes of protective coating by deflation processes resulting in uncontrollable increase in radioactive aerosol concentrations inside the NSC-SO complex.
