Factors that negatively affect the effectiveness of professional activities of specialists in this field have been identified. A study of the current state of cadets' professional training in higher educational institution in terms of their professional reliability formation was conducted. It is established that the most promising is the process of professional training of future rescuers, which is based on the main ideas of competence, system, subject, context and activity approaches. Based on the above approaches, a model of professional competence of future specialists in emergency services in air transport has been developed. The method of calculation of ways of victims’ evacuation from a place of forced landing of the emergency aircraft on a water surface is developed. This is based on the methods of graph theory and the concept of the “Golden Hour”. It also minimizes evacuation time. A model of the decision-making process on the choice of the optimal route of evacuation of victims in case of forced landing of an aircraft on the water surface has been developed. Methods have been developed to prepare aircraft crews for actions related to forced landing on the water surface. These methods were tested during emergency rescue training. The effectiveness of training and methodological support has been experimentally tested. This ensures the readiness of cadets – future specialists in rescue and search support of flights in civil aviation for professional activities. Within the framework of research work 1 Ph.D. dissertation (Stratonov V.M.), 16 qualifying Master degree theses were defended.
