The purpose of the work is to develop scientific and technical and economic bases for the optimal choice of promising nuclear energy technologies for Ukraine. Research methods: conducting a comparative technical and economic analysis of promising nuclear power reactors and technologies; analysis of neutron-physical and thermohydraulic characteristics of promising nuclear facilities; conducting a comprehensive comparative analysis of different nuclear energy technologies based on the proposed methodology. Research results - A scientific and technical review of publications on the state of development of pilot projects of channel and hull power water-cooled reactors with supercritical pressure in the world's leading countries - USA, Canada, Japan, Germany. The advantages and disadvantages of the proposed in these projects the transition to a single-circuit scheme of circulation of the coolant in order to reduce capital and operating costs for the construction and operation of power units up to ~ 1000 MW (el). Recommendations for the use of work results - the results of R&D work will be used in testing the methodology to justify the optimal choice of promising nuclear energy technologies for Ukraine. Scope - nuclear energy industry Conclusions - the development of a methodology for the optimal choice of promising nuclear energy technologies for Ukraine are important safety issues of the nuclear industry and work in this direction will be continued.
