Information × Registration Number 0221U103812, 0118U000057 , R & D reports Title Cultivating space of the screen: modern interpretations and meanings popup.stage_title Head Chmil Hanna P., Доктор філософських наук Registration Date 25-02-2021 Organization Institute of Cultural Studies of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine popup.description2 The discursive properties and cognitive capabilities of the screen, which simultaneously provides an adequate reflection of human life and forming new ways of human thinking were studied; the audiovisual content of the screen was discovered to be a special type of discourse in which a man in a certain way ‘comprehends the world’, however, this discourse both describes the world and concurrently ‘dictates’ a man its ontological specificity; the screen being a space of (self)creation of the subject and its interaction with the Other (presentation of the self as the Other), constructing one’s identity according to the values and interests of groups formed in the process of large-scale screen-virtual dialogue was proved; the common display and screen space of modernity was determined the most accurate reflection of the existing socio-cultural reality, in which the usual cultural differentiation of types of culture into ‘high’ and ‘mass’ was leveled, and the totality of ‘being-with-screen’ made the information hegemony of one of the social groups impossible; the ability of the audiovisual content of the screen was confirmed to perform both the functions of intersubjective ‘communicator’ and intersensory ‘connector’, and within the cinematographic experience, the enriching of human experience occurs due to ‘contact’ of human consciousness with on-screen art forms; the modern phenomenology of cinematography was analyzed to interpret screen (cinema) experience as a result of the interaction of two types of corporeality and subjectivity: human and screen; despite all the existing threats, cinematic ‘aesthetic violence’ was comprehensively outlined as able to snatch the subjectivity/subject similarity of the viewer from the space of typical identification patterns and direct him towards becoming a free and harmonious person. The results have theoretical and practical significance for educational, political, cultural and artistic fields and relevant governmental organizations.
