The aim of the work is to improve diagnostic and treatment-and-prophylactic tactics of management of patients with late forms of syphilis with the use of new etiopathogenetic methods of treatment on the basis of studying morbidity, clinical-epidemiological, biochemical and serological factors. Research methods - clinical, biochemical, serological and statistical. New epidemiological features of syphilis incidence in Ukraine have been established. Clinical and epidemiological features of late syphilis have been revealed. The informativeness of general clinical, serological parameters of blood and cerebrospinal fluid of patients with various forms of late syphilis was assessed to establish the most important criteria for their diagnosis. The study examined the functional status of red blood cells in patients with late forms of syphilis. It was found that during long-term therapy of syphilis with the use of high course doses of antibiotics it is necessary to carry out a set of therapeutic measures to achieve physiological levels of MetHb in the blood. Based on the obtained results, a complex method of treatment of patients with late syphilis with the use of lipophilic transmitters was developed. A set of treatment-and-prophylactic and organizational measures for diagnosis, prevention and treatment of patients with late syphilis is proposed.
