The study used general and specific research methods, including: dialectical research methods, which allowed to investigate the etymology of the crisis and the development of crisis phenomena from supranational to regional levels; system analysis and synthesis - to identify the place of anti-crisis management of regional development in the management system of the national economy; structural analysis to identify the preconditions for the emergence of crisis processes; morphological analysis - for verification of crisis management tools; historical, comparative analysis - to study the transformation of crisis management, identifying its best world practices and opportunities for adaptation to regional characteristics; economic and mathematical modeling - to develop an anti-crisis strategy, improve the parametric characteristics of anti-crisis management of regional development. The results of the study and their scientific novelty: improved: the conceptual apparatus of the study in terms of verification of the concept of "crisis of regional development"; scientific approaches to understanding regional development as an object of anti-crisis management, according to which the emphasis is not only on ensuring the balanced development of the regional economic system, but also the need to implement anti-crisis management tools in accordance with the crisis; conceptual principles of anti-crisis management of regional development; organizational and institutional architecture of crisis management of regional development; scientific and methodological approaches to assessing the level of socio-economic development of regions from the standpoint of crisis management.
