New etching compositions for surface polishing were developed. The influence of the container shape, component purity and thermodynamic conditions of post-growth heat treatment on the defective structure of Cd1-xMnxTe doped crystals was investigated. High-temperature measurements of the Cd1-xMnxTe crystal electrical characteristics in a wide range of Mn content (x = 0,05÷0,55) at different Cd vapor pressures were performed. The nature of point defects in CdTe:Mn crystals, their solubility and electrical properties at ~ 300 K and high temperatures (873-1073 K) were investigated. The behavior of IIIA group impurities (Al, Ga, In) in CdTe and Cd-Mn-Te crystals with different Mn content, their influence on the properties of these crystals at low and high temperatures were studied. It was investigated that the best results, when using ionizing radiation detectors, were obtained on CdMnTe:In crystals with rectifying Ni/Cd(Mn)Te/In contact.
