The methodological basis of the studyare various methods of scientific research: comparison, systematization and generalization; dynamic, economic-statistical and comparative analysis. The scientific novelty of the researchis as follows: further development of the categorical-conceptual apparatus on the problem of research isacquired; the process of strategic management of the development of tourist regions of Ukraine is substantiated; classification of tourist regionsis improved; the concept of strategic development of tourist regions, which provides a harmonious and complementary combination of concepts of entrepreneurship, financing, management and marketingis developed. The results of the research are implemented into the educational process of the Department of Management, Faculty of Economics and Law of Mariupol State University.
