The purpose of the work is to develop conceptual foundations for improving the properties of steel castings by purposefully influencing the temperature-kinetic parameters of melt processing in the pre-crystallization period, during crystallization, structure formation and solid-phase transformations for the development of new technological schemes for the production of high-strength cast steel products with a predictable set of properties. The regularities of a targeted technological impact on the processes of crystallization, structure formation and formation of properties of cast steel products by means of a regulated change in the thermokinetic parameters of the melt in the precrystallization period, during crystallization and solid-phase transformations, including with the use of manifestations of structural heredity have been studied. It has been found that significant overheating and an increase in the duration of isothermal treatment of the melt under conditions of a low cooling rate during crystallization leads to the formation of a coarse-grained structure and a decrease in the level of mechanical properties of steel castings. Based on the results of mathematical processing of an array of experimental data, interpolation models (regression equations) were obtained for the first time; they quantitatively determine the mutual influence of the indicated thermokinetic parameters of preparation and crystallization of the melt on the characteristics of the structure and the level of mechanical properties of the studied structural steels , and make it possible to obtain castings with a predetermined high complex of properties.
