Aim – to improve cultivation technology of fruit crops in Dry Steppe of Ukraine and vegetable crops in greenhouses in order to obtain environmentally friendly products, increase the yield and product quality, reduce material and energy costs of the production. Methods - field, laboratory experiments, methods of mathematical statistics, economic evaluation. As a result of the research for the first time in the conditions of Southern Steppe of Ukraine: the optimal elements of intensive training systems of sweet cherry and apricot orchards are established; pruning severity of different peach cultivars based on potential productivity to obtain planned harvest was revealed; seasonal dynamics of codling moth development is investigated, terms and degree of its harmfulness in apple orchards are revealed; influence of natural turfing in sweet cherry orchard on indices of leaf surface and content of physiologically active substances was established; influence of weather factors on sweet cherry yield in southern Ukraine is revealed; it was found that use of white agrofiber as mulching material in sweet cherry orchard saves water and reduces number of irrigations compared to bare fallow; it is established that when growing sweet cherry planting material, tape method of planting is optimal; the optimal level of perlite saturation of substrate and terms of basil seed sowing in greenhouses; based on the complex of valuable traits in the primary study, Siyanets Turovtseva, Vstrecha, Griot, Shalunya, Solidarnist cultivars and 5 selected forms were distinguished.
