The object of research is the financial relations that arise between the state, local communities and economic agents to ensure regional development in Ukraine. The subject of the study is the financial instruments of regional development in Ukraine in the context of decentralization. The purpose of the study is to develop scientific and practical recommendations aimed at improving the financial instruments of regional development in Ukraine in the context of decentralization. To achieve this goal, you must perform the following tasks: - to generalize theoretical and methodological principles of financial support of regional development; - to determine the factors and preconditions of regional development in the conditions of decentralization; - to analyze the current state of financial support of regional development in Ukraine; - to determine the directions of improvement of financial instruments of regional development in Ukraine in the conditions of decentralization, to prepare on this basis the corresponding conclusions and scientific and practical recommendations. Research methods. The research methods are selected based on the goals and objectives set in the work, taking into account its object and subject. The methodological basis of the study is a modern theory of scientific knowledge of social phenomena, covering a set of theoretical methods. Analysis of the legislative support of regional development allows to identify its shortcomings and develop on this basis proposals for its improvement. The information base of the study consisted of scientific developments on relevant topics, regulations, statistical materials of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, the State Treasury Service of Ukraine, the State Statistical Service of Ukraine, the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine and other information and reference materials.
