The object of research is the process of heating a solid substrate by heat of exothermic reactions, the process of solid-phase combustion in conditions of flat wave propagation, processes of pouring and solidification of melt on a heated metal substrate, flat bimetallic products, technological scheme and modes of their manufacture. Research methods included analytical evaluation of scientific and technical information, mathematical modeling, engineering calculations, testing of technological modes of manufacturing flat thin-walled bimetallic products, field experiments on prototypes. The results of the study of the process of heating the solid substrate by the heat of exothermic reactions are presented. Based on the formulated requirements, the basic composition of the exothermic mixture is optimized. The regularities of the influence of the mass and the degree of compaction of the exothermic mixture, as well as the magnitude of the air gap on the temperature of direct and indirect heating of the substrate are established. It is shown that the increase in the mass of the exothermic mixture is accompanied by an increase in the pressure in the combustion chamber and, as a consequence, the emission of the reaction components outside it. The dependence of the heating temperature of the substrate on the number of additives of the reaction rate retarder to the basic composition of the exothermic mixture is given. A computer mathematical model of the process of heating a solid substrate by the heat of an exothermic reaction has been developed. The temperature-time dependences necessary for development of technology of receiving flat bimetallic products are presented.
