A method was developed to study and evaluate the influence of the cooling rate of melts on the structure and properties of alloys of the system: Al-Cu-Mg (D16), Al-Zn-Mg-Cu (B95), Al-Mg (AMg5). The nature of the dependence of the primary structure of alloys and mechanical properties on the cooling rate of the melt is established. It is shown that with increasing cooling rate, the curing time of the primary phase and the alloy decreases. Therefore, it is advisable to control the curing time of this structural component of alloys, which significantly determines their mechanical characteristics. The main parameters and conditions of a stable technological process of forming rolled products from aluminum-based alloys (D16, B95, AMg5, AD35 and others) have been experimentally established. It is established that the main technological parameters of the stable process of roll casting are the melt overheating temperature, pouring rate and the level of melt in the interroll space. The influence of various parameters of further heat treatment on the mechanical properties of the studied aluminum alloys (D16, B95, AMg5, AD35) was determined in the work. The results of the research allow to find technical solutions for the practical implementation of the industrial process of obtaining high-quality rolled products from high-strength aluminum alloys by roll casting with subsequent rolling and heat treatment.
