It is established that the existing water treatment technology at these stations has a limit for reducing the COD of water, approximately equal to 1.2 -1.3 mg/dm3. Theoretical and laboratory analysis of the possibilities of baro- and electromembrane methods of water desalination and concomitant purification from organic impurities was performed. On the basis of the conducted experimental researches the scientific principles of increase of reliability of extraction of organic impurity from water by membrane installations are formulated. Two alternative schemes of membrane water treatment are offered. The implementation of the developed principles will allow to achieve a high depth of purification of feed water from organic impurities, will increase the reliability and reduce the cost of stopping, repairing and commissioning of power units.
