Head Burlaka Volodymyr V, Доктор технічних наук Registration Date 04-03-2021 Organization State Higher Educational Institution "Azov State Technical University" popup.description1 popup.description2  The object of the research are the processes occurring in the power supply grid of high-power nonlinear loads and their electrical power supplies (frequency converters, welding power supplies, switching power supplies for telecommunication equipment, thyristor voltage regulators, etc.), which have a single-phase or three-phase input and are connected to the distribution network; in grid-tie converters for connection of renewable power sources (solar panels) to the electric network; in filter-compensating and balancing devices built using high-frequency converters. The aim of the research is to increase energy efficiency, controllability and stability of electrical distribution networks, creation of high-efficiency switchmode converters, by developing scientific base, mathematical and physical models, circuitry and control systems of high-efficiency converters. New circuit solutions of converters have been developed, which have a smaller number of power semiconductor components and inductive components and a reduced cost compared to the known ones, while maintaining comparable performance. Experimental samples of welding inverter sources are made, on which the efficiency of the proposed ideas is confirmed. New circuit solutions and methods of control of the hybrid compensator of nonactive power, which consists of the thyristor switched capacitor bank with the serial active power filter are developed. Implemented flexible configuration of the operating mode with regulation of the compensating current depending on its harmonic number. This allows to ensure stable operation of the compensator in networks with a significant level of non-sinusoidal voltage distortion.
