 The topic is of great scientific importance, as it reveals the spiritual culture of the population of a large geographical region of Ukraine. The study of spiritual culture involves the coverage of a wide range of subcontracting topics: mobile art of the Paleolithic period, art and funeral rites of the Neolithic and Eneolithic, ornamentation of Trypillia utensils; mounds of the Bronze Age and Early Iron Age, cemeteries of the Early Slavic and Early Medieval periods, paganism and Christianity, medieval jewelry, the history of research of monuments of spiritual culture in the XIX-XX centuries. etc. In order to fulfill these problems, the staff of the Department of Archeology conducted systematic field research with the involvement of natural scientists.
