Tymoshenko of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine popup.description2  The scientific research work is devoted to the development of refined models and numerical-analytical methods for the study of electrothermomechanical behavior and thermal destruction of thin-walled inelastic elements with piezoelectric sensors and actuators under monoharmonic electromechanical loading. The theory used modern approaches to building models of thermoelectromechanical behavior of inelastic materials and the method of hypotheses on the distribution of mechanical, electric and temperature fields in the thickness of the element in the construction of refined models of thin-walled elements with piezoelectric inclusions. To solve nonlinear boundary value problems, numerical-analytical methods have been developed using variational methods, finite element methods, and discrete orthogonalization in combination with the finite difference method. New nonlinear problems on forced vibrations and dissipative heating of inelastic beams, plates, cylindrical panels and shells with piezoelectric inclusions are solved. The influence of transverse shear deformations, geometric nonlinearity, mechanical and thermal boundary conditions, dimensions and placement of sensors and actuators on amplitude and temperature-frequency characteristics, as well as critical values of amplitudes of mechanical load at which vibroheating temperature reaches degradation point and system loses efficiency. The possibility of active damping of forced resonant vibrations of inelastic thin-walled elements by means of sensors and actuators is shown and the corresponding recommendations on improvement of efficiency of their work are developed.
