Methods of modern applied thermodynamics together with methods of planning of experiment with optimization were used for the analysis of thermal schemes . The parameters of the thermal scheme of the 300 MW power unit are calculated with in the range of inlet steam parameters from 23.5 MPa, 540 ºС to 35 MPa, 700 ºС. Preliminary feasibility study of conversion of 300 MW steam turbine power unit by JSC Turboatom to the supercritical steam parameters is carried out. It is shown that a reasonable level of technical and economic characteristics of such a project can be achieved by increasing the inlet steam temperature to 700 ºC with a minority increase in pressure.
