The expert during the forensic railway-transport examinations, in which there was a collision of rolling stock with pedestrians, is asked about the actions of the participants of the railway-transport accident and the possibility of its prevention. The practice of performing forensic railway-transport examinations shows that there is no inconsistency between the normative documents regulating the behavior of citizens on the railway transport of Ukraine. However, there are some differences between the requirements of various regulations governing the actions of members of the locomotive crew in the event of a threat of collision of rolling stock on people. In this regard, the topical issue is the modeling of the algorithm of actions of members of the locomotive crew in the event of a threat to traffic safety (a person is on railway transport facilities, a vehicle moving) taking into account the maximum risk, ie the maximum allowable risk of railway accident and its consequences for human life and health, property, environment.
