For the first time in Ukraine the mapping (dendrogramming) of TB infection isolates using MIRU-VNTR technique was performed. Dendrogram analysis to TB-infection revealed similarity of 38% isolates that presumes high probability of recent infection transmission. Among the revealed isolates four clusters were identified, the largest one of those contained 34 isolates suggesting close connection. The majority of isolates comprising clusters belong to Beijing spoligotype, which is prone to drug resistance development thus amplifying unfavorable epidemiological situation.
