Registration Date 25-03-2021 Organization Main Astronomical Observatory of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine popup.description2 During the research, a network for monitoring the concentrations of PM2.5 (fine particles with an aerodynamic diameter of 2.5 µm to 0.3 µm) was created, as a part of the extensive international network AirVisual. This local network consists of five stations located in different areas of the city. The stations determine the parameters of the air quality state according to AQI, the concentration of suspended particles PM2.5, the air temperature, the concentration of carbon dioxide CO2 at a given time, and also provide the forecast of parameters: AQI, air temperature, wind direction and speed, cloudiness and the possibility of precipitation. It is important that these data were compared with simultaneous measurements at the local station AERONET of aerosol in higher layers of the atmosphere. The reliability of the measurements of the local AirVisual network was verified by the simultaneous monitoring of aerosol in the surface air layer with the standardized APDA-371 HORIBA instrument. Based on the measurement results of the AirVisual network stations, the APDA-371 HORIBA Popudrenka station and the AERONET Kyiv station, an analysis of the dynamics of air pollution with aerosol particles in Kiev was carried out in the period March-April 2020 during forest fires in large areas in the northern part of the Kiev region. The measurement data of the station of the international aerosol measurement network AERONET Kyiv allow one to estimate the size of aerosol particles and the assumptions regarding their nature by the Angstrem AE parameter and its dependence on AOD at different wavelengths. Based on these conclusions, using the GEOS-Chem chemical transport model, the spatio-temporal distribution of aerosol particles was modeled in order to determine the possible areas of sources of aerosol of anthropogenic origin that cause aerosol pollution of the atmosphere over Ukraine. In the course of research and development, based on the data of these observations, quantitative estimate Product Description popup.authors Bovchalyuk Andriy P. Danilevsky Vasyl' O.
