Quantitative indicators of the quality factor of the earth's crust are determined and approaches to determining the calibration function for estimating the local magnitude and checking it on real signals are developed. Determining the energy parameters of earthquakes in the local area currently has some complications: - methods used to determine the energy parameters of earthquakes in the near zone do not fully take into account the effects of the depth of hypocenters and regional features of the propagation of seismic waves; - physical characteristics of the hypocenter of a seismic source in the near zone have a great influence on the value of energy parameters of earthquakes: the nature of the source of disturbance, its parameters (time at source, coordinates, epicentral distance, depth, energy and possible effects of seismic waves on objects). At the moment, the question of accurately determining the energy parameters of earthquakes in the Transcarpathian Depression is relevant.
