It was found that even before the outbreak of ASF, although the number of lines and families in the breed met the requirements, but the effective population size of the Myrhorod breed decreased from 2010 to 2017 by 2.78 times. After the outbreak of African swine fever, the population of Myrhorod pigs decreased 10.5 times. There are statistically significant associations of the genetic marker MC4R SNP c.1426 G> A with such indicators as the age of animals weighing 100 kg, the thickness of the fat and the area of the "muscle cell". Associations of growth hormone gene (GH / BsuRI) polymorphisms with the age of 100 kg and cathepsin F gene (SNP g. 22 G> C) with "muscle eye" area have also been established. in the selection process for the use of genetic markers in the restored population of the Myrhorod breed, it is advisable to check the presence, first of all, of those associations that were found in the original breed. According to the materials of primary breeding records obtained before the ASF outbreak, correlations were determined between the assessment of indices and performance indicators, a high correlation between the estimated indices and the thickness of the fat (r is equal to -0.86-0.69, at p <0,05 ). When restoring the breed, it is advisable to try to approach the statistical-population parameters inherent in the original breed. Based on data on the productivity of ancestors, by correlation analysis, it was found that the relationship between the assessment of sows by BLUP and the fertility of her daughters is reliable (r = 0.22 ± 0.100; p ≤ 0.05) and 2 times stronger than between fertility of queens and their daughters (r = 0.11 ± 0.102; ns), which indicates the feasibility of using this method.
