Firstly, the signal parameters are highly influenced by electromagnetic noise caused by the objects in the vicinity. Secondly, in some cases, surrounding metal objects distort the spatial distribution of the reference magnetic field formed by the actuator coils. Thirdly, the input signals change their levels significantly when the distances between the actuator and sensor coils change. In accordance with the stated problems, mathematical models of the magnetic tracking vector sensors and data fusion algorithms for integrated microelectronic position vector sensors in augmented reality systems have been developed within this project.
